Safeguarding and Welfare Club Policies
Jo Ingram - Safeguarding Officer (Junior and Youth)
Charlotte Bailey - Safeguarding Officer (Adult)
At Madeley White Star FC we all have an ongoing duty to ensure that the football we provide is done so, in a safe and positive environment, resulting in an enjoyable experience for everyone involved
To ensure we comply with FA and Government policies, we have implemented preventative safeguarding measures and have a number of policies in place to ensure that we create fun, safe and positive football environments which are inclusive for all. We have a safer recruitment policy in place, and ensure that all our volunteers have as a minimum a current FA Enhanced DBS check and have completed an FA Safeguarding course before working with U18s. Following the launch of the new FA Playmaker Course, we have also implemented an additional policy, that requires all of our existing and new Assistant Coaches / Assistant Managers to also complete this course.
Upon completing our online club membership form, all parents are issued with the FA Respect Codes of Conduct (which they must agree to adhere to in order to complete their registration), plus the contact details of our Club Welfare Officers should they need to get in touch regarding any concerns.
